Download a Debian <a href=\"http:\/\/www.debian.org\/CD\/torrent-cd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ISO file <\/a>(6.0.4 has just been release as of this writing)<\/p>\n<p>2. Download LinuxLive USB Creator from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linuxliveusb.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.linuxliveusb.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. Run LiLi and create a bootable USB stick with the ISO file you downloaded from Debian website<\/p>\n<p>Choose to format the key in FAT32<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After following a default installation procedure&#8230;. so we&#39;re all starting from the same page.<\/p>\n<p>install a few packages:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<pre class=\"literal-block\"># apt-get update<\/pre>\n<p># apt-get upgrade &#8211;show-upgraded<\/p>\n<p># apt-get install aptitude<\/p>\n<p># aptitude install sudo rsync<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This will be a work in progress series of posts to help people get into the amazing world of developing applications on the web.
